Background

Med Urgent Care is an adult and pediatric urgent care center based in Orange County, CA that specializes in cuts, scrapes, bruises, sprains, strains, broken bones, sore throats, coughs, and fevers. It also provides medical attention to patients with workplace injury and DMV physicals by certified examiners.

Goal

Med Urgent Care contracted GMR Web Team’s digital marketing services with the goals of increasing online visibility and developing a strong online reputation to ultimately drive more new patients into the facility.


Opportunity & GMR Recommendations

  • Responsive Website Re-Design (RWD) – The majority of online traffic is coming from mobile devices, so it was critical that Med Urgent Care redesign the website in RWD with optimal viewing on mobile devices, and with a high focus on conversions.
  • Search Engine Optimization (On-Site)- In order for search engines to rank a site on their results pages, the site needs to be optimized for crawling, and be found in the local market.
  • Social Media Marketing (SMM) – For this particular client and industry, we proposed social media primarily for branding and community building. GMR recommended that the client do some outreach initiatives to build awareness in the local community about their urgent care.
  • Reputation Development via Social Platforms and Review Sites – This was a major issue for the client as their overall Yelp ratings and Google+ ratings averaged 2.5. We recommended a full-scale reputation development program to increase the volume of positive reviews on these review sites. We also developed a strategy for responding to all reviews, good and bad, on behalf of the client.
  • E-mail Marketing – Develop a program to collect emails from patients and send out monthly newsletters to touch base with patients, encourage likes and reviews, and stay on top of mind for branding purposes.

  • Number of patients generated through Yelp increased 336% due to Yelp optimization and reputation strategy development- The biggest patient generator of all social sites for Med Urgent Care.
  • Generated approximately 424.54% more phone calls via the Internet (people calling from their smartphones)
